The food and hospitality were great and the owners were gracious and engaging!! Recommendations for local restaurants and site seeing was also terrific!! A must stay for anyone visiting the area! We can’t wait to return!

Nancy and Bill are charming and dedicated to making each guest feel beyond welcome, it was like staying with old friends. Everything about our stay was top notch, the room was cozy, well appointed and impeccably clean. Breakfast was delicious and beautifully presented and the gardens were a delight.

Very helpful hosts who put out some hot water for tea upon our arrival during a very brisk and chilly April weekend. They provided great dinner and shopping recommendations, and were able to accommodate my gluten free needs at breakfast. Our room was understated yet elegant with a comfy mattress and nice sitting room.

This is the third time I’ve stayed in the Altamont Old Stone House Inn, and even though I called at the last minute, from the road, the response was: “We’ll leave the light on for you!” Despite the late hour, Nancy and Bill welcomed me warmly when I arrived.

Two very gracious hosts who could not have done more to make me feel welcome. Breakfast was fab, a master chef finalist would be proud of the both the presentation and the tastes, full of flavour with great coffee and jus. They went out of their way to advise on where to go and where to avoid in the area and because I was leaving really early on a Sunday morning packed me a breakfast to go.

I was lucky enough to find this great B&B. The innkeepers, Nancy and Bill were great. I was looking for a quick getaway after a very difficult summer, losing both parents in a short amount of time. As a B&B owner myself, I really appreciated the space and privacy provided. The Inn is beautiful, clean, comfortable, and relaxing.
